TransWorld Railway Chapter 6
Jerrod Mars was a man who had always seen one side of a coin, the scratched and scuffed side, the unpolished side, the side tat would lead a man to question what all the fighting was for, and why one would give up his life, his soul, and his humanity for the cause of “freedom” when all he saw was death, destruction, and hatred against the foes on the other side. Jerrod had not only fought, but gotten damn good at it. Killing had become a work of art, and Gandrians, Aquitanians, and Almalexians unlucky enough to stand against him soon met their maker, or drowned in the fiery bowels of hell. Private Mars soon became Sargeant Mars, and later, a deserter. A chest of medals, and a dozen events to “push” a pro war message on the people back home had been the last straw. Rhodesia, the West, they were supposed to be the good guys, but Jerrod was tired of living for “the West” and more interested in living for Jerrod Mars, a man who saw his own hopes and dreams. Jerrod was hounded, and caught

“I have seen a lot but I did not expect you to be like- This…” Parasol said softly, looking the rather “unimposing” but cute and youthful “Fourth” up and down. “You must have taken this form to prevent the forces against us from being able to easily pick you as their target?” “This was the form I came in… This is my allasian appearance it was not chosen, though I did chose somethings…” The Fourth, who was going by “Celeste” replied. “I am blessed to have been given the form that best represents me in the opinions of the kind people who first sheltered me, and from my observations on how a child of this relative age, and demeanor, and size may act.” “I need some answers…” Kary had been quiet up until now, but she was annoyed and excited all at once. The Rivan girl had shown up, murdered the two crystal armored foes, and then taken Celeste under her wing, the role that Kary had up until Parasol arrived. Kary felt now as she had when her “friend” in Clevins named Ginna brought her

The Sevensian council was made up of those from the loyalist leadership that remained, and the rebellion leaders. “Lord Severen Sevensia, first Lord of Sevensia” had made it clear that every Sevensian still living was to bury the ax of dissent and move into the future. The very few rend claw populations were corralled and now, with the dragons gone, would serve the Sevensians as mounts, opposed to being the masters of Sevensians, or the equals. They would serve as horses served the Allasians, as companions, but clearly subservient to the new masters of Sevensia. The first council took place a week after the end of hostilities. Lord Sevensia had signed a decree that outlawed dragons from making homes or living in Sevensia on pain of death, any and all wyrms, dragons, or wyverns would be systematically banished upon pain of death. Dragonesses such as Mez’Avrora, Mez’Brianna, and others who had stayed out of the war were forced to give up their titles and given a time before even they

The scene in the Silver City was one of festive excitement. One would think that the world of Allasia had not been at war a mere two years prior to this day. Despite the cease fire coming to an end in less than a year, almost every dignitary was present from both the Western Alliance and the Eastern Axis. A big band was playing songs from all around Allasia and the great new engine “the Never Setting Sun” was draped in wreaths and garland, the long row of silver colored passenger cars fit the aesthetic of the scene. The oddest thing perhaps, being the soldiers of both East and West and their respective “leadership” intermingling to get a better look at the great vehicle of the future. TWR had ordered an additional ten of these engines and granted the “maiden voyage” was a success, the great TWR trains would circumvent the globe on weekly travel. Some booed when it had rolled into the Silver city, claiming it would monopolize the transportation industry, planes would be obsolete, the

Queen Aliera Aquitaine had appointed herself as such when she found herself isolated from the rest of Allasia. A High Lady was part of an Axis, or an organization and her people needed a Queen, one they could turn to for strength, power, and confidence. Aquitaine had been clouded in a veil and left isolated. Queen Aquitaine’s first order of business was to strengthen the armed forces which were still weakened by the massive losses against the Snake Cult. The Bastard Legion had been sent on scouting with their well known skills as fast moving scouts, awaiting for whatever had thrown Aquitaine into chaos to show itself. Isca Aquitanium was opened as the bastion of defense should an attack come from anywhere within Aquitaine. In the meantime Aliera had been working with her Defense Minister Axel Crassus; a tall wiry man who wore a dark cloak of black with the red accents of Aquitaine. He walked alongside her as they exited the cabinet meeting with the Aquitanian Parliament. “The bigger

The Princess of Allasia had never encountered death until watching her handmaiden and little friend Mattie die in the arms of the kind and caring woman named Franny. Trauma had set in and changed her to the core, and now as she rode alongside a host of heavy Aquitanian legonary guards and High Lady Ursula Aquitaine herself, she was witness to death and destruction to those responsible. She watched a dragoness be chained down and her jaw to be broken back until her entire head cracked and crunched and she spasmed to death on the ground, spouting blood from the mouth she could no longer close until her eyes glazed over. Cheers erupted to the death of this mighty and majestic creature, a creature Juneau had colored with pencils when she was just a little girl and posted pictures on her father’s bulletin board. Creatures she marveled at, now she watched squirm and cough blood, unable to escape the wrath of Allasia. A man dragon had shielded a juvenile dragon and once his body was laden

Brandy Alexander had not had an easy childhood, growing up in a time where war and the talk of coming wars dominated the news, she had grown up and seen the invention of television, which led to imagery of the chaos and destruction of a war between people who often had similar viewpoints and beliefs. Her father had been Scarlettan and Rhodesian and her mother was born and raised in Scarletta in the beautiful town of Camperdown, a city now missing some of its great landmarks due to bombing. She had seen her middle class family lose their home and her father drink himself to death, angry and feeling betrayed by a government that promised all forms of freedom while bleeding him dry with the need for war materials. Her mother had turned the young Brandy into an orphanage. At twenty three she had found not the calling in life she sought, but one she was good at, a career choice she often hated, but that brought her a stable income, and access to information, high level people, and now, an

“Why are you just standing there… I told you all to meet me on the other side!” Rapture’s voice called as she practically phased into existence among the five selected for the undertaking. Citrus hissed and crossed her arms. “You told me to meet the others just outside of Aquitaine!” She snapped. “AFTER finally freeing me from my bindings and dangling me upside down for two days!” “Well. It mellowed you out quite a bit.” Ignoring Citrus she turned to the two males. “If she gets out of hand, binds her arms and legs and hang her upside down, something about their blood flow, this calms her…” Rapture muttered and smiled. “There is nothing docile about that little odd creature.” Sir Alegeise said, shaking his head, still a bit traumatized about the other four he would soon be forced to quest with. “Little!? Odd!? Creature!?” Citrus gasped her eyes wide. “I am a woman! A seductive and beautiful creature that the Allasians and Arcadians PALE in comparison to!” “Sure… Okay…” Nikki

Word reached Rhodes of the Princess of Allasia and her slaughtering the dragon forces to the south. Cheers erupted from the beleaguered garrison that had been rescued in the nick of time by the Almalexians. The Almalexians had pushed the dragon forces back from Rhodes more than fifteen miles, and headed off in pursuit, the House Alaya and House Vulpina forces in particular were eager to practice tactics against the vile reptilian beasts that represented darkness and evil. House Solitude and House Solis stayed back to offer relief. One look at the state of the people of Rhodes gave them an instant bond. Almalexia were acting as the “big sisters” of Allasia, and now, they were as good as one. Working together to put out fires, and to repair structures, as well as rendering aid and healing to the wounded, comfort to the dying and to those who had lost so much… “What we are seeing and hearing is unity…” Commander Victoria, the overall commander of the Almalexian forces said. She walked

President Ron Rhodes was three years into his first five year term. It was said his election was the beginning of the cease fire. President Rhodes took a strong stance on national defense, patriotism for Rhodes and their Western Alliance allies. He did not believe in standing down from a fight, and while pacifists throughout the West voted for his opponent, many believed instead of peace under the opposition party, they would have lost the war outright. Ron Rhodes looked every bit like the part of a leader, stocky, tall, and with wavy blonde hair and gray eyes that could pierce through your soul. A handsome man even as he neared the end of his fifties, gray beginning to slip into the sides of his blonde head of hair from the stresses of office. He had been the first leader to be able to reach Chanceloress Cassia. Many scoffed it was because they both were militaristic and so patriotic they played off one another and were a match made in hell, while others the more sensible moderates
